This panel brings together leading members of the Russian Anti-War Platform, a transnational initiative uniting activists, scholars, and civil society organizations opposing Russia’s war in Ukraine and authoritarian rule at home. The discussion will explore how Russian civic actors in exile are organizing, sustaining networks, and shaping new forms of democratic cooperation beyond borders.
Panelists include Olga Prokopieva, Executive Director of Russie-Libertés (France); Grigory Koshmak, project coordinator and board member of Ryska Antikrigskommittén i Sverige (Sweden); Dr. Irina Knyazeva, political scientist and lead coordinator of Antiwar-Platforma; and Dr. Elena Stein, sociologist, political scientist, and co-founder of CISR e.V. in Germany.
The discussion will be moderated by Elena Kostyuchenko, a Russian journalist and Visiting Scholar in the Department of Slavic & Eurasian Studies at Duke University.
This is a hybrid event taking place on Duke University Campus and on Zoom.
