Duke University Slavic and Eurasian Studies

Undergraduate Research in Slavic and Eurasian Studies

The SES faculty are committed to working with you on undergraduate research projects, whether these be connected with your current coursework or independent studies you wish to pursue during the academic year or the summer.  With the assistance of Dr. Ernest Zitser, our SES Librarian and Bibliographer, we can help you develop your bibliography and locate the research materials you need.  We also can advise you about funding opportunities available through Duke's Undergraduate Research Support Office and research opportunities overseas.

Deans Summer Research Fellowships

Students interested in pursuing independent research in Slavic and Eurasian Studies are urged to apply for a Deans Summer Research Fellowship which supports a summer research project of at least three weeks in duration. The maximum award is $2500.
